2003 started with a new approach to the wire frame method of forming trunks. There needed to be a way to place genetically identical material on the fused trunk so that all branches will have identical growth habit. The "hollow" trunk allows material made from cuttings to be thread grafted from the inside out when making the new primary branches.(all other branches used in the creation of the "live shell" will be discarded as time goes by and the new branches take hold. I have spent a little extra time in making a wire frame with a bit more character than the earlier version. Time will tell... |
